Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Selection Process 2024

How does the selection process work for SSR (Medical Assistant) Batch /2024? There are two stages:

Stage I – Shortlisting based on your marks in 10+2 PCB.

Stage II – PFT, Written Examination & Recruitment Medical Examination.

Shortlisting Application

First off, they’ll look at your combined percentage in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from your 10+2 exams. This will be done on a state-by-state basis. So the cut-off marks can change depending on which state you’re from since each state has their own set of vacancies. If you make the cut, you’ll get a call-up letter for Stage II which includes PFT, Written Exam & Medical Exam.

PFT & PST for Navy SSR Medical Assistant

So what’s the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) like? Here’s a quick rundown:

• 1.6 Km run: You need to complete it within 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
• Height: Minimum required is 157 cms.
• Squats (Uthak Baithak): You have to do at least 20 squats.
• Push-Ups: At least 15 push-ups.
• Bent Knee Sit-Ups: Minimum of 15 sit-ups.

Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Written Exam 2024

Now onto the written exam. The questions are multiple-choice and bilingual (in English & Hindi). There are four sections:

1. English
2. Science
3. Biology
4. General Awareness / Reasoning Ability

Each section is worth 25 marks, making it a total of 100 questions. The level of these questions will be on par with what you studied in your 10+2 exams. You can find the syllabus on the Indian Navy website. The exam lasts for one hour.

You need to pass all sections and also score well overall.
